Gaming supervisors oversee gaming operations and personnel in an assigned area. Circulating among the game tables, they see that all stations and games are taken care of for each shift. It also is normal for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating rules for patrons. Supervisors can also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and above average communication skills. They need these abilities both to supervise employees excellently and to greet gamblers in order to endorse return visits. Just about all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Regardless of their educational background, however, quite a few supervisors gain expertise in other gambling occupations before moving into supervisory positions because an understanding of games and casino operations is essential for these workers.
